How sending works

What happens after I place an order?

Once your payment is confirmed, we prepare your letter or postcard for printing. Mail is typically printed and handed off to USPS within 1–2 business days (excluding weekends and federal holidays). Delivery times after that depend on USPS service levels and the destination.

What mail types do you support?

Letter Sender supports physical letters and photo postcards sent through USPS. You compose your content in the app, we handle printing, postage, and submission to the postal service.

How much does it cost?

Letters start at $1.99 and postcards start at $1.49, including printing and USPS postage. Final pricing is shown at checkout and may vary based on options such as color printing, page count, or postcard size. See our Terms of Service for details.

Orders, editing & cancellation

Can I edit or cancel my order?

Yes — but only before your order enters production (printing). Once your mail has been sent to our print partner for processing, it cannot be changed or recalled.

To request a change or cancellation, email support@lettersender.app as soon as possible with your order number and the change you need. We'll do our best to help if production hasn't started.

I entered the wrong address. What should I do?

Contact us immediately at support@lettersender.app with your order number and the correct address. If the order hasn't entered production, we can usually update it. We also provide address validation to help reduce errors, but you are responsible for verifying recipient addresses before submitting.

Where can I see my order history?

Sign in to the app and open the History tab to view past orders and their status.

Refunds

Before production: Email support@lettersender.app before your order enters printing and we'll issue a full refund. Include your order number in the subject line.

After production: Once your mail has been printed or submitted to USPS, orders are non-refundable. Physical mail cannot be recalled.

Our errors: If we made a mistake — such as a duplicate charge, a printing error on our end, or a failure to process your order — contact us and we'll review your case. Refunds or credits may be issued at our discretion.

Delivery & tracking

How long does delivery take?

After we hand your mail to USPS, delivery typically takes 3–7 business days for standard First-Class mail within the United States. This is an estimate only — actual delivery depends on USPS processing, distance, weather, and holidays.

Can I track my mail?

Where available, tracking information will appear in your order history. Tracking availability depends on the mail class and USPS services. Not all mail types include end-to-end tracking.

My mail hasn't arrived. What should I do?

USPS handles all physical delivery after we submit your mail. If your item is significantly delayed or appears lost, email support@lettersender.app with your order number. We'll help investigate, though we cannot control USPS delivery timelines or guarantee delivery dates.

Account & login

How do I create an account?

Visit Sign In and register with your email address or Google account. You must verify your email before sending mail.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. If you signed up with Google, use Google Sign-In instead — no separate password is needed.

How do I delete my account?

Email support@lettersender.app from the address associated with your account. We'll process your request within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for details on data deletion.

Writing to elected officials

How does the "Find Your Representatives" feature work?

Enter your address and we'll surface your federal and state elected officials from our database. You can compose a letter directly to them through Letter Sender. We provide the mailing addresses; you provide the message.

Will my representative actually receive my letter?

Yes — your letter is printed and mailed to the official's published mailing address via USPS, just like any other letter sent through our service. Delivery to congressional offices follows standard USPS timelines.

Recurring mail campaigns

What are recurring campaigns?

You can schedule letters or postcards to send on a recurring basis — daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Payment is collected upfront for the scheduled sends.

Can I cancel a recurring campaign?

Contact support@lettersender.app to cancel future sends. Refunds for sends that haven't yet entered production may be available; sends already in production or delivered are non-refundable.
